My Story
Hi, I’m Katie Kamala Haley, an independent filmmaker, writer and director. I have a passion for telling stories that are intriguing and meaningful to the human experience.
I am a world traveler with a zest for life that keeps exploring new places and opportunities. For me, learning, growing and sharing my gifts is what life is all about.
Experience
I am a graduate of the film program at Palm Beach College and studied photography at Crealde School of Art.
My award winning short films and documentaries have been featured at film festivals around the world.
For ten years I worked as a makeup artist in the film and fashion industry which gave me a keen eye for esthetics and helping clients feel confident in front of the camera.
Along with my film projects my passion is collaborating with content creators and independent businesses
I shoot and edit all of my own projects with expertise in client communication and satisfaction.

An Israeli man traveling alone in Colombia hires a beautiful young woman to show him the city of Medellin. She teaches him what it means to live with passion and gives him back his zest for life.
I filmed this on location in Colombia during my spring break from film school right before the pandemic.

I met Lisa at a yoga festival in South Florida and was drawn to her and she agreed to let me tell her story.

This quirky adult comedy is looking for financing to turn the screenplay into a short film.
